FWIW both my inverter and batteries (Pylon) are in the kitchen, or rather in a kitchen cupboard. They never got cold over winter, but on a sunny day I have seen inverter temperatures of 40C. I might have to add some ventilation if that increases over summer. But the batteries have never gone above 20C as far as I'm aware.

What's the duration of ownership versus noticing & monitoring that (DM) ?
Short term stresses likely water off ducks back etc, but long term damage likely to be creeping & unseen if it happens.
Cosset them, they cost enough!

Only had my system since December, it hasn't been through any really warm weather yet. I'll leave the battery monitor app running for 24 hours some day to see how the temperature fluctuates, but they don't seem to change much. There's a lot of mass in those batteries to heat / cool.
