That's an impressive solar roll-out pace!

Agree with you there dan_b, the best we've achieved since 2016 was 69.5 MW's in January this year, or about 1W /person of the population.
Admittedly Germany has a larger population but still equates to roughly 12W/person. With China and their massive population achieving 7W/person and Netherlands 18W/person it would seem we are lagging behind somewhat. :o

But to be fair, that's because Germany gets more sun and PV generation than other countries, like the US for instance.

I know this, because Fox News told me.

8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

1W per month , it will take approx 500 years for UK to match the average person on the secret list.:?
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

I mean, I know Germany has done some really stupid things with energy policy (like choosing to close all its still operational nuclear power plants, and going all in on Russian gas!), but this is something to be applauded for for sure.

Meanwhile in the US.........
Since the passage of the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) last August, the utility-scale clean power sector has announced USD 150 billion ($223b) in funding, 46 new manufacturing facilities, and nearly 20,000 new jobs, according to the American Clean Power Association.
