The application of these batteries is for aviation more than anything else, you might see them in a BEV Ferrari or something though. BEVs seem to be moving from NMC to LiFePO4 (cheaper but lower power density).
Would be exciting to see domestic and short-haul aviation move to battery-electric platforms though...

Upper case for kilo, too. A sensible title might read ‘over 700Wh/kg’, but quoting to three significant figures immediately rings bells of idiotic claims/reporting - whether from the source of from the ‘journalists’.

Note: to get to the 500 Wh/kg **pack** density to make short haul passenger aviation viable, you need >1000 Wh/kg at **cell** level. Making a safe & certifiable battery pack for aviation use is both expensive and heavy.
