From the Ripple community page.

"Hi, we can't share the exact number of members in the project just yet - but we can confirm that we had so many people joining we filled the equivalent of Graig Fatha in a day and Kirk Hill in less than a week. We're really excited how many people want to own part of Britain's first shared solar park. Once the share offer has reached financial close we will then of course share all the details."

That's quite a marked progress! :ugeek:
19.7kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN & DW

I had a quick and dirty count of Aprils generation for GF and we look like being slightly above the baseline for April.

And for every kWh GF generates, I'm getting back 3.6 kWh via the VB on the recently reduced price on Intelligent Octopus.

27p / 7.5p = 3.6 :geek:
16.9kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 25MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

That's the COP Nowty? Outstanding! 8-)

We have flipped into that part of year where standing charge outweighs actual home fuel cost.

That would be a COP of 9 or more once that has been input to one of Nowty's many heatpumps.

And Ripple say you save typically 25% on your bill.

But at Nowty Towers its 900%.

Its not Science Fiction but its Science Fact.

Lets do another calculation,

1kWh from GF pays me 27p, and my IO cheapslot is 7.5p / kWh, therefore that gives me 3.6kWh.

COP of 3 from my heatpumps, 3 x 3.6kWh = 10.8 kWh of heat energy.

And in a recent post I calculated the cost per each kWh (to me) over GF's basic lifetime at 3.24p / kWh.
https://camelot-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... 600#p32056

So that 3.24p (pro rata cost to me of 1kWh of GF) gives me 10.8kWh of heat energy or 0.3p / kWh.

And that can be time shifted to the depths of winter using the octopus virtual battery (VB). 8-)

So compared with someone heating water with an immersion heater on standard Flexible at 34p / kWh.
Mine is 34p / 0.3p = 113 times cheaper. :o

Its the green crap again.

Nowty, you've extrapoled your Ripple power out into farflung arithmetic realms. I've moved continents with mine and now its replication time. 8-)
