Admittedly this is my first May with solar so I don't have historical data to compare to, but so far performance has been excellent.
I've given up on keeping up with the energy provided each day, but I have run a heavy duty extension from my garage to the neighbour's garage.

They've just had another baby, so they now get free electricity from my solar for their tumble drier 12.00 - 15.00 each day.
It hasn't even made a dent, which says it all...

That is very admirable Mr Pablo, it might not make a big difference but it will help them all the same, and hopefully as the summer progresses you may be able to help more.

We are in the same position here where my parents in laws house and battery is charged by noon and today we are at 89% on the house stack and the car is at 100% ready for a trip tomorrow and thats all done before the sun really hits the west facing array this afternoon!

Sadly my neighbour is out all day and lives alone so I cannot provide a similar service. Would be nice if I could gift my excess generation to the NHS to help a little.

I'm working on some automation that looks at the solar and battery forecast, then works out when there'll be spare energy.
Once that's done, it'll update a simple website at 9.15 each morning, letting them know how long there's free electricity for.

Anything between 10.00 and 16.00 will be fair game for them to use, assuming good forecast and battery SOC.

Yesterday was excellent, sub 1kWh grid use now the norm. Everything on the graph is hybrid inverter reaction time based.

No doubt that the extra battery storage capacity massively extends the likelihood of jumping past a poor day with negligible grid touch :)

Not been great weather here for a while.
Only installed panels last September so no data for April, or May, but managed to hit 30kwh yesterday for the first time and beat my April 20th’s best performance.
Shows how bad its been here that it took over 5 weeks to best that day

Once the solar is in and you get a chance, worth doing checks across home for high load or vampire electrics, insulation, bulbs etc. After that it's worth changing out appliances for low energy one's as time, finances and breKdowns allow

All this combined can make a massive difference in how far you can stretch those hard won solar kWh's. We have found that 20kWh's solar consumption per day is easily do-able here and that is running normally, not holding back. We can get away with 15kWh's incoming but only just. No EV charging right enough, nonetheless.

The best days for me are the marginal one's when it all just works together and we just squeak through.

At the moment we are regularly hitting 40 to 60 kWh's daily generation. Great but boring!

Annoyingly the free charger up the road is faulty so half of my generation went into the Tesla, which meant my batteries only got to 30%
I’ve turned the temp on the heat pumps down to 30c so usage has dropped substantially, everything else is off peak

Hi All,

Well this is my first May with solar and batteries and I'm now 100% off grid. I've actually switched off my incoming today (as I only came back home last night) and it seems unless there are lots of bad days it will probably stay like that until end of summer.

House runs without changing any usage and as long as the battery is above 90% when the sun stops in the evening then it's usually at +50% in the morning and the charge cycle starts again.
16 250w Trina panels
Voltronic Axpert Max 8Kw hybrid inverter
3 x Chinese 125Ah (19Kwh total) batteries
To be done, more panels and a wind turbine
Off Grid 20 out of 24hrs
