I ran the personal generation figures based on 28 day Feb and rounded down. Kirkhill is mighty, no doubt about that, wow!

DW? A bit of a wet fart in comparison but i'll take it anyway. :D

A pleasant surprise email this morning. Kinlochbervie hydroturbine has paid us today. In addition, we submitted the fit reading yesterday. Combined they should cover 1 of the 9 Derril Water payments.

That's a 1st and particularly cool, groovy & satisfying, although not necessarily in that order.

Happy Birthday lads, it's good to be two again. 😎 :D  (Thanks Galahad).

Looks like the mast sections could go on soon? Although I'm sure they'll want all 8 sites ready so they can go whackety whack (tech term) with the crane in a one-er over a number of days.

All the turbine bits for KH are all now stored at the port in Ayr, they are due to be transported to site next month (July). Looks like they still have some road bits and crane standing areas to finish off.

Google tells me its a 17 mile journey taking 34 mins, although I suspect the journey may take a little longer.

Another random request which is slightly linked to Ripple - I am swapping over to Octopus to be able to get the Ripple payments (among other reasons).

Does anyone have an Octopus referral code they'd like to share with me? :D

3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries

Faux-pais from ripple today I see from their seemingly not very capable nor proactive marketing dept ..at a guess.
A feedback questionnaire as a " reservation owning non buyer in ripple" (the focus is on DW) sent erroneously.

Followed by a "email sent in error" notification (likely many of you got it also)

Sounds like the ball rolling momentum was as per chatter well short of expectations, people wanted wind (and all the servicing complications that arise from its engineering as perceived faster payback / bang for buck, of which nowty's latest graphs attest to performance gaps between the 3.

Sounds like the next project will be back to WT's
They are asking which people actually want now, a move they should have done first rather than months of silence & drum-roll surprise (& disappointment) & specifically if they held off investing due to it (DW) being solar.

The equivalent of many kids opening the biggest xmas present box under the tree & getting a knock off games console instead of the xbox / playstation. ;)
