Electronic repair shop?

#1

Post by Joeboy »

Used to be one in all our areas. Can't find one in Aberdeen so using an Edinburgh one next time down. Optical pick up not working on the cd in hi fi. 😕

I'd rather repair than renew as it's a great wee powerful unit.

Anyway, I liked their site so thought it worth a passing share for anyone in the area?

Where's my wee Turkish pal Faruk when I need him? Probably under a slide of electronic boards in his Marmaris shop!

Worth giving it a wipe with lens cleaning solution first if you can get to it, sometimes that's all it needs.

What brand unit is it joe?

Also, when packing it to take / send for repair some cd trays have a laser locking mech, use it.
If not use a strong polystryrene chip to stabilise it, otherwise it can compound issues.

Might be worth chatting with their own people first, at least with authorised centres you have a bit of comeback if it goes faulty again shortly after.
