National Grid shakes up connection application process

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

National Grid shakes up connection application process

This is good - it was reported recently at how bad the backlog is for new renewables projects to get HV grid connections - seems like National Grid has listened and is changing the process.

I suspect Ripple KH and DW are "getting it on" so should be OK with their connection timetable.

I'm glad to see they are doing something sensible.
Whereas pumped and other types of storage (you know, to mop that occasional surplus of renewables) is still in limbo. They were "thinking about" the problem 5 yrs ago, went out to consultation, for some reason didn't like the result they got... so were preparing for a second round of consultation the last time I looked.
If they are starting to show some sense about this maybe it's time to rattle my MP's cage on storage again... Funding more research isn't actually getting anything done!
