More Renewable Shenanigans at Nowty Towers
Re: More Renewable Shenanigans at Nowty Towers
So it’s a year in how’s life with the AC unit?
Re: More Renewable Shenanigans at Nowty Towers
Already ?, I can hardly believe its been a year.
No problems whatsoever, nothing more to add really.
Upstairs unit is running now,
There is literally nothing about them I don't like.
The only maintenance is I've cleaned the indoor filters twice, done nothing with the outdoor units, they look fine.

Re: More Renewable Shenanigans at Nowty Towers
My A2A too is marvellous. I love everything about it!
In winter I get loads of toasty-warm air circulating around every cranny of my home. I experimented with leaving the GCH off from 9pm when there were subzero temperatures outside. The A2A set to come on at 5am (0230-0630 cheap period) set to 19℃, heating mode and automatic. I could see the temperature shown on the Hive thermostat in the downstairs hallway and the hive TRVs in the downstairs rooms steadily increasing. That is something I didn’t even hope for.
In summer I set it to 22℃, cooling mode and automatic. It just keeps the house at a pleasant temperature. Often you don’t notice how good it is until you go outside.

Hi Stinsy,
Can you remind me of your set up?
Size, location etc as your description is what I hope to achieve
Thanks

Re: More Renewable Shenanigans at Nowty Towers
Just pulled and cleaned (shower wash), the air filters on all 3 air cons, all needed clean. Embarrassing the state of the bedroom filter. So much so that the airflow out of it was being impeded...
I hope all u guys with aircon in UK are doing this too? By that I mean cleaning filters regularly not being boggin as I have?
While on air con. Saw an 8,000 btu inverter type split system advertised at local supermarket bottom of our road for 16,000tl (£470). Not sure how that compares to UK but seems pricey to me?
