Door canopies and solar awnings
https://www.mitjavila.com/the-solar-awning/?lang=en
Door canopies and porch roofs with a single panel should be a no brainer as an intro to solar. For many people it will only cover baseload with nothing going to waste. Shouldn't be expensive to do either.
Living the dream in Austria.
Uk property 3.75kW PV linked to 3kW inverter.

Well that was easy enough. Negotiated a pair of new 405W Canadian Solar blacks for £320. Collecting Tuesday local. Comes in cheaper than paying for pallet delivery :D

That leaves me enough for a decent microinverter, a good rummage through my PV spares and we'll be good to go.

Thanks for the link.

Am I being a thicky-twin though chris? ..wanted to check out the specs (size et al) of the solar supports, cannot see a link to prices min order quantities, would help me throw something shallow together potentially & shade a side window or two.
Shame there is no micro gutter kit (like on a typical greenhouse which is a logical step (for me anyway)

I'd probably go with one of the Enphase (good brand) ones from ITS or Tradesparky, rather than an Alliexpress Chinese punt. I'll have a closer look at them soon.

I'm very much looking to have WiFi onboard so we can.monitor generation remotely. It's like being a kid in a sweetshop!

Maybe this one, it has WiFi and Bluetooth, looks like you can monitor it from a smartphone, so no additional monitoring kit required. Can take a pair of panels. A bit marginal power wise for your pair (datasheet says 2 x 375W) but in your northerly proximity I'd risk it. Voltage wise its ok.

On a slightly different tack, could a bifacial panel replace a fixed skylight and let a bit of light through?

In fact I am wondering about converting a complete conservatory corrugated transparent PVC roof with PV panels.
