And spanking the benchmark wind farm next door.

Ripple GF is currently about as high as it goes, circa 98% vs the next door one at 77%. I guess a large windfarm is always going to have some turbines out of service whereas our GF one turbine wonder is either all or nothing.

just had an email
Future bill savings payment dates

Further to feedback from some members we have decided that future bill savings will be applied to members' accounts after the 5th of each month. This is to make any tax reporting simpler. Some further context for you on the process for your bills savings:

Typically the savings are applied to members' accounts very quickly (ie within about 30 minutes) after we have advised your supplier what those savings should be, however occasionally this takes a bit longer if key people are on holiday.

At the end of the month it usually takes a few days for the final meter readings to come through from the 'data collector' which is the company authorised to issue meter readings for the purposes of balancing and other functions of the grid. Sometimes we need to do some checks where we think there are discrepancies between the meter readings and what the wind turbine generation data system suggests - this can take a few days and is sometimes impacted by weekends or holidays.

We hope this helps clarify things for members of when they expect to see savings hit their energy accounts
I guess they have been getting earache when the savings aren't applied to the Octopus account for a few days...
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

The important one is March's rebate paid in early April. If its in by 5th April its in this years tax year, after the 5th its in next tax year.

They should be committing to 'on or before' the 5th of the month. This takes care of turnover into new tax year and allows some flexibility throughout the year for holidays.

We'll see what they say.

'The commitment should be to 'on or before' the 5th of the month. This takes care of turnover into new tax year on 6th April and allows some flexibility throughout the year for holidays. I Don't like the sloppiness of 'after the 5th', too vague by far. For something as important as payment this point should have been discussed amongst the owners of Graig Fatha. Not been a blanket decision. I think you need to readdress this.'

This is all part of the lack of logic that makes elements of what they do skin of teeth with neither adequate planning nor forethought.

Myopic twattery  that if the same lack of nous carries on is likely to create some drama leaving memorable scars offputting to investors.

I think so, maybe a service, as it went down at 9am.

Showing crazy 87.5 degree blade angle and the local benchmarking windfarm currently at circa 32% so no shortage of wind.

Ah, as an odd coincidence my goodwe hybrid inverter dropped out of comms (still operating) and IO wouldn't charge car overnight then car itself wouldn't respond to charge command this morning. A confluence of tech failure! :D
