Hi , Currently we do not supply the Gotion 340Ah cells
But if you want that cells, We will try to source the cell for you
How many 340ah cells will you need ?

Right now the EVE 280K cells tested capacity is almost 310ah now
May that be good for the application ?
EVE lf280k testing with 310ah!? I'm no expert, but I haven't read or seen any video tests like that? Are you thinking of the EVE 304ah cell re QR coded? Which most people seem to be able to get around 310ah from the 304?

I thought after the 280n the 280k would be lucky to get as good at around 290ah for the real grade A. There's a new lf280k V3 which is meant to be a bit better but I don't think EVE will make their 280ah cell higher capacity than their 304ah cell!

Maybe if it's a re QR coded 304 B grade it could, I'd be very wary of the provenance of a 280 with claimed 310ah capacity though, ok maybe it's higher than spec, which is always nice but most likely a B grade 304 or CATL 302. I'd rather just buy a B grade knowing it's a B grade though.
Yes, EVE 280K cells, tested capacity is 310ah
If you need the test result from EVE
Can send you for your information

The A grade cells from EVE, original QR code

The QR codes on that test report don't match EVE supplied codes? The second half of the code however, does show up as the date for Grade B cells.

B Grade decoder with second half of QR Code:

A Grade decoder with full code:

With the link you attached
I have decord both
See the attached
I use the second one, the QR number is 04QCB76G13603JD7B0001382

Please see the result
With the QR number decord in the B mark link, it will not show anything
While the Grade A link shows everything

Ok strange!

1 and 10 didn't work for me, but yes no.2 does, although I get "don't know yet" for nominal capacity

Strange, but if EVE makes a 310ah LF280K cell - the same capacity as the 304, why don't they re-name the LF280K, this is just confusing!?

This is the New version of the EVE 280K cells
They has change the terminal of the cells , also some adjustment on the inside material
Now can barely find the EVE 304Ah on sale now
Mostly is for this new version of the 280k , cause the capacity test reach to 310ah already

Sorry @Colin for doubting your information! I found a video testing the new LF280K V3 @ 310Ah

So EVE really are confusing everything by still calling it LF280K! breaking the sectors whole naming based on Ah system :?

That will also now make it easier for the less honest Alibaba stores like Docan and the many others who rewrap B Grade cells and claim they're A grade, to use B grade 304's and claim they're the new 280 V3's  (although the new stud pads are octagonal)

So buyer beware on Alibaba It's a shame as often B grade are absolutely fine for us as storage, if they're properly matched and batched, and sellers were just honest about it, because they're much more affordable.

The cell market is a bit in chaos already with re used cells and B grade rewrapped cells all over Alibaba claiming to be new A grade, how do you feel about this Colin, does Deriy use B grade and explain this?

GobalPower and Shenzhen Luyuan on Alibaba are both clear about whether the cells are A grade or B grade. EVE also sell direct, so only grade A from them. In the UK Fogster also sell cells and clearly state A or B grade, but they're expensive. I couldn't tell from the Deriy Alibaba store what was what, and there are hundreds of listings for almost identical cells, which is hard to navigate.

This is an explanation from Gobelpower:
High Speed Electric Vehicle (HSEV) = A grade new from manufacturer
Low Speed Electric Vehicle (LSEV) = B grade cells, rejected by manufacturer

"LSEV Grade cell, these cells usually did not pass the strict testing by the manufacturers and with a B-Mark code (or reprinted intact OR code by some sellers, this may be due to optical imperfections, higher self-discharge, lower capacity and/or higher internal resistance, Unfortunately the manufacturers don't explain which aspects are the reasons to mark a specific cell as B-Mark, we will do some sorting and matching work before using, and test the voltage and internal resistance (lR), capacity for the LSEV grade cells and discard cells with a nominal capacity lower than required..."

It has been made so you don't have to navigate. You have a direct contact. Just say thank you!  8-)
The extra info you have brought is much appreciated, cheers Al.

Colin's integrity and products integrity are fully intact. It's important to me that this is underlined beyond one individuals doubts. Too much dubious fog present online when looking to source batteries. Not here. Not Colin.

Thanks Joeboy, I've never been one for accepting info without being sceptical, especially from salespeople  but I'm also happy to admit when my scepticism was unfounded.

But with such expensive transactions it's definitely a sensible starting point for anyone looking at buying new cells from the other side of the planet.

Happy to share my deep dive into it

I'm also looking forward to building my 24v 26kWh LFP battery bank on the barge, hopefully I'll be starting a thread by October!
