Sorry to hear Fintray, hope you get over it with plenty of statins, blood pressure meds and low dose aspirin.

My father had a triple heart bypass at age 60 and was one of the first patents to trial statins. They must be good as he got to age 89 before his angina came back and they stented him, its his 94th birthday next week. :D

Take it easy Fintray!

Heed the warning! My father had a MI aged 65, he'd always been "fit and healthy" and took pride in pushing through and getting stuff done. He was terrified of becoming "old and feeble". I was convinced he would Immediately return to being exactly as he'd always been (his stubbornness and determination is how he'd achieved everything in his life) and would have another MI within 6-months and be dead. But he changed the habit of a lifetime. He changed his diet and cut out bread/rice/pasta/potatoes (starchy foods) as well as nut/seed oils. He also managed to shift a lifelong habit of busting a gut. For example if he was raking the lawn he trained himself to have a little sit down as soon as he felt a bead of sweat on his brow. The jobs all still get done, just not at the frantic pace as before. He's in his 80s now and as fit (and opinionated) as ever.

There is no prize for recovering quicker. Take your time and build up slowly.

Glad you're back home and typing!
