As long as GF kicks out an average of 4kWh plus per 24hr cycle we owe nothing, No1 gets to live free and just maybe there'll be another 1% into that VB by the time we get home? As I've said before, I REALLY like the shoulder months. I've always liked playing in the marginal places.
I just misread the abbreviation GF as 'girlfriend' and thought your son's partner must be really hot! :D

I was surprised to read that the road North (A90) was closed due to flooding and the food trucks weren't getting through.

That sort of thought gives pause and genesis to further food storage (prepping plans). I have ramped up over the years so we have about a month supply between freezers, tinned & also dried. I wouldn't have expected to think this way when younger. I guess life experience & cynical nature led me here. :D

Well Joeboy I'm thinking along similar lines by expanding our garden veg section and taking up that old wartime adage of Digging for Victory! It's not so much a finance thing as doing our little bit in trying to reduce Air and sea miles on produce otherwise purchased.
Didn't imagine I'd be doing that in my retirement years, but hey ho, keeps me from getting in the way of HWMBO. ;)

Ground saturated too but in the eye here, dead calm. Not like 36 years ago when I got a bit busy.

Very heavy rain in SW London last night so lots of standing water on roads and pavements, but the wind isn't too bad to be honest.
Remarkably light traffic commuting into work today though so definitely lots of people have stayed at home!

Wondering if we'll get an Octopus saving session, although I heard that many of the wind turbines in the south have been curtailed or switched off completely to protect against the very high wind speeds.

Don't worry, if its anything like down our way (Worthing), those leaves wont be on the trees long and then they'll help block the drains that have not be cleaned for ages. Its daft after all the millions spent 'fixing' the flooding on the A27 they still have not learned. Lets see what happens the first decent rain with house built of floor plains.

hey ho.
