Not too bad a month overall. The usual autumn & winter shading has definitely arrived, but the vertical panels on the house have helped to reduce grid import by 23% compared to last October.
I'm going to experiment with dehumidification more in November, switching from a power hunger desiccant unit to an Arete 12l from Meaco.
Hopefully that will reduce usage a little, plus reduce the amount of gas heating.

Essential if you're keeping an eye on energy consumption!
1) The power consumed all ends up as heat in your home.
2) Additionally you get free heat from the water condensing.
3) Makes a huge difference if you're heating rooms differently (warm moist air travels to cooler rooms, condenses, and causes damp).
4) Reduces the need for ventilation.

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)
Not too bad this year - 213kWh against PVGIS of 200kWh, but not as good as last year (230kWh).
% solar has dropped a bit compared to last year, but I'm experimenting with Octopus Flux, charging the battery early morning, and sometimes end up exporting a bit. At least the off peak import vs outgoing export rates are pretty much the same, so no great loss if I export a bit

Short answer to huge drop off? Trees causing shading as leaves have only just started to fall. I expect this to be about normal output for October. No available solution as trees are on council property, road adjacent.
Solution? Move home. Additional panels on pergola to be considered but likely to reach the same proble3m of shading due to the house to to location and orientation.
On the plus side, this really helps justify the concept of Octopus Flux in summer (when tree shading has very limited effect on output) to sell excess from an oversized system.
