And sorted the wind speed from m/s to mph. Today looks like a good day! I like that we can see the momentary global output figure for the turbine. Quite a perspective 👌

Also, before software upgrade rpm peaked at 14.6, now 15. Assuming software change of scale maybe?

As a newbie to this wind turbine game I am just stupidly pleased to be able to say I have a share of a wind farm :) and if it comes on in March great, if its on a bit earlier amazing, if it comes on in May let the good times roll!

Looking forward to the next video at site.

That's a damn good way to look at it Moxi, I am still as thrilled to be a part of this as I was day 1 switch on at Graig Fatha. I have no memory of the money we put in yet it bought us this daily entertainment and all else that goes with it until i'm deid. Happy days!

The point that stands out to me in that last communication is 22nd March 2024. An actual named date (with the potential to come forward) for energising. That is progress, we went through similar with Graig Fatha and then we'll have the fettling process post energising.

At some point in the near future the GF drop down box as shown below will have new pals. :D Going on the background ongoing no new WT's in England, low to negative returns/incentives for new windfarms and the turbine suppliers financial woes this farm seems like a bit of a unicorn to me. As wonderful and rare a beast as the Welsh one which is currently running at 99.3% of its CF. :)

GF is spanking the benchmark one next door and looks to stay at near full power for another 40 hrs or so.
The rate of it charging my VB for cheap slot drawdown is equivalent to almost 15kW or 360 kWh in a 24 hr period. :whako:

Nice to see the wind speed indicator is now fixed, I told Ripple of that months ago. :on-patrol:

I’ve heard Derril Water is going with Sungrow inverters, does anyone know?

No, where did you hear ?

I'd not heard of Sungrow before, its another Chinese jobby.
https://en.sungrowpower.com/

I note Midsummer now sell their kit for domestic.

And looks like some of their kit has been used in a 2.2GW solar park.

Sungrow are pretty big, I believe Voltalia used them in the new park south of Yeovil and the one near Dorchester, both 50MW iirc. However I wouldn’t consider them a premium brand, I was hoping for SMA really.

So long as they carry spares and Sungrow can supply everything from UK stock then shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
I’ve seen whole summers of lost production due to parts supply on ABB/Fimer kit, but then they do break down less than Power electronics from what I’ve seen.

You should ask that question of Ripple? It might not have been asked yet, you'd be doing then a favour.

The guys at ripple will know more than me, the decisions will be purely financial but if the investors were a little more educated and enough of them let feelings known that better equipment now will pay dividends in the long run then perhaps the choice could be swayed slightly, although that’s probably just wishful thinking.
