Just checked and we GF owners have seen a 41.5% roi in very much under 2 years. 20 months give or take I think. Ww could very well crack 50% at the 2 year mark.

That is astonishing. :o

I am forecasting 52.8% by 31 March.

I pessimistically assume 80% of the P75 generation for today until the end of March and 6p per kWh from 1st March (ignoring the next14 days forecast). Ignoring anything for March 2024 would only reduce it to about 52.3%

I would rather have a pleasant surprise that a nasty shock.

That is indeed very good. I thought you'd be lucky to take 15 years to get 100% from my initial calculations. I wasn't able to get involved without being on Octopus which needed a smart meter. Now my bills are so much lower I won't be able to invest as much when I am finally able to get onboard.

Brilliant Joeboy, Congratulations with timing on the winning completion date, early too.
I know we've still a while to go until we're contributing to Grid output but a great milestone to reach.
What a great start to the Christmas season for all interested parties on Camelot and beyond. :)

Looks like I inadvertently owe myself a pint (nightmare). John S has led for the new PC 'guess the weight game'.

The game is name the roi figure for Graig Fatha to a single decimal point for midnight on 28th Feb 2024. In addition and at no extra cost, have a crack at guessing the next years per kWh figure paid by Octopus on Graig Fatha for the year commencing 1st March 2024. You don't have to own any of it to play.

Competition is open until midnight on the 31st Dec 23. Prize is Kudos and a pint in Ayeshire at KH open day.

So far,

John S 52.8% and 6p
Joeboy 53.0% and 11.8p

Apols for typos, I'm doing it by the led Xmas lights.

you don't need a smart meter to be on Octopus, only if you want to be on smart/TOU tarrifs. We are currently still on a dumb old meter, have a choice of fixed or variable tarrifs and get our GF earnings credited against our fuel bills.
