I have twin 5kW Gen3 Givenergy hybrid inverters, a 9.5kWh battery on each - this actually allows me to pump out a max of around 7.2kwh to the grid. Also looking at adding a further battery to each at some point, especially with the new 0% VAT incentive from February next year.
Do you normally import during saving session hours, so your baseline is positive? My baseline was slightly negative due to export on the 28 November, I've now stopped exporting after 16:30.
My system can export pretty much at 8kW but you seem to be getting higher rewards, I got £15.50 for the last session. Unfortunately missed out on one of the £4 kWh sessions due to meter issues which were thankfully resolved after a week of no electric readings.
The way to gain extra benefit this year is as you say, increase the base load - some are on IO and set a trickle charge from around 4pm and then you can charge batteries etc at the cheap rate.
It's a bit of a gamble as you don't know when the savings sessions are, but if you're normally charging batteries fully at night at the same rate it's a no brainer.
Another way is being lucky in having been accepted to two different companies at the same time and being paid twice, although I've read that's being now being revoked.

I did exactly that yesterday and my baseline has increased from Tuesday

Thanks for the reply, I'm on Flux, so being peak rate it could be expensive, and I don't particularly want to change tarrifs.
But, its a staggered session, Octopus has got the 17:00 to 18:00 slot, all other providers have got the 17:30 to 18:30 slot.
So expect some confusion.

My baseline has been getting there slowly:

Baseline
16 Nov 2023

29 Nov 2023
2.268
01 Dec 2023
2.667
05 Dec 2023
2.522
12 Dec 2023
2.715
14 Dec 2023
2.744
I thought my peak rate splurge on the 30th Nov must surely have worked its way out of the baseline for tonight but I forgot there has been 4 sessions in Dec which will not count for the baseline so my 30th Nov splurge is still valid for both tonight and tomorrow.

I was planning a splurge today in anticipation of a SS tomorrow, but then we get one today!
