First potential for a wind record this evening for a very long time, its a bit like negative saving sessions, could do with a free power hour from the octopus.

Last record is here at 21.620 GW,
https://camelot-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... 432#p26432

Peak (metered) wind today is forecasted to be 18.862 GW at 4pm which might do it as the official record is based on an estimate of unmetered wind added to the metered wind.
https://www.bmreports.com/bmrs/?q=gener ... generation

Eyes down and look for around 22GW on Energy Numbers or 18GW on Gridwatch to beat it.

http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/

FECK WE ARE ALREADY OVER 21 GW on ENERGY NUMBERS.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

basically max wind and yet we're still burning coal, oil and biomass at almost max rates as well - welcome to winter!

I see ~3GW is going to France. Do I assume we have too much wind, in some areas, so have spare, or perhaps France needs extra?

I'm only confused about the potential excess, as I see that gas is high, and so is the wholesale price (~£130/MWh), so not exactly too much gen, I think?
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

Nice to see us exporting on all interconnections for a change but its very rare to see so much gas being burnt on top of so much renewable generation.

I think there are some high prices being paid on the interconnector’s circa Euros 1141 / MWh today.
I confess I don't quite understand the trading messages.

Wind has been on 21.1GW for quite a while today - suggests grid constraints/curtailment might be limiting a higher peak?

Possibly, but we are utilising almost all of it.

Wind still looks good for a record either Wed or Thu, but will there be enough demand ?

We could do with some free power hours.
