Winter Solstice solar count

#1

Post by Joeboy »

Listening to Classic FM and Alexander Armstrong said we are past the dip and heading to lighter times. I thought it worth marking that with a solar count from yesterday. Although TBH I thought today was bottom of the dip and tomorrow the solstice? Ah well..

Solaredge 207Wh
Victron 750 Wh

Not even a combined single kWh! :surrender:

I think the phrase is?

How did you guys do?
15kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN
42kWh LFPO4 storage
73kWh V2H EV
7kW ASHP
200ltr HWT.
3G
Deep insulation, air leak ct'd home
WBSx2
Low energy bulbs
Veg patches & fruit

You northerners have it hard. 2.1kW here near Banchory with 18.4kW of panels :)

I'm obviously not quite northern enough from that point of view  - 1.1kWh yesterday from 5.6kW of panels
Solar PV since July '22:
5.6kWp east/west facing
3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries
1.6kWp Hoymiles East/West facing PV on the man cave
Ripple DW 2kW
Ripple WB 200W

Yesterday, like quite a few days recently, was one of those days where we were in and out of the cloud base.

Unsurprisingly we only achieved 180Wh from 3.6kWp.

Looking forward to the upswing in February for solar and next winter having KH operational and contributing to winter power requirements.

Seems like Alexander Armstrong is a day early:

We should wait and post todays generation instead.

2.9kWh from yesterday, its been shocking for the past 10 days, typically only 1 or 2 kWh per day.
18.7kW PV > 111MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 34MWh generated
7 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
90kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 530 m3
