I would have though so too.

It's also strange that the price of electricity isn't that high either. It was higher today at midday than at tea time!
As the afternoon went on the peak was high but less than forecast and the wind picked up a bit.

But early morning they should have been bricking it, but once past about 9am its too late to call one.

Tomorrow less wind, similar peak demand, it should be the best candidate day this week. :xx:

EDIT - Thursday is also possible.

Hopefully! I’ve been gifted a few peak time cheap-slots recently so have been doing my best to increase my baseline…
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

Interesting that we're exporting to France at the moment. The operators are probably trying to squeeze every last penny out of it before September.
They do have quite a large mound of coal to get through. Presumably most cost effective if they are down to none by September 2024.
The near left corner has reduced from this image when I drove past last week.

Octopus Agile negative this W/E and into next week. ? Although i do wonder if Octopus are making good money and buying these negative slots and then selling them to GO and Intelligent Etc. They probably have enough people signed up to theses TOU tariffs to be able to play the market. They were always against domestic batts playing the market.

Be interesting to see what my variable rates are then on the Octopus Tracker tariff - one would assume if Agile goes that low for periods, then the overall daily wholesale cost will fall by some amount?

You can see the day ahead wholesale prices here,
Just divide the £/MWh by 10 to get the pence per kWh.

Year ahead electricity prices do not bode well for when GF price resets in the next six weeks. Have Ripple been too greedy and waited too long?

Wow - So bulk electricity prices have fallen from 350 to ~ 70 since end of '22 - that's 80% lower!
Either we don't see the same reduction, or we weren't exposed to the worst of the peaks - thankfully
Solar PV since July '22:
5.6kWp east/west facing
3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries
1.6kWp Hoymiles East/West facing PV on the man cave
Ripple DW 2kW
Ripple WB 200W

Maybe they already have the numbers but daren't tell us. :?

This is a great graph of year ahead leccy prices because you can look back to when the last rate for GF was negotiated in around November 2022.
