Deriy have 1,000 units in EU warehouse. Co-incidence that I know that. Good point though on the Houthi rascals.

Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery
The firs quote is in from Docan for shipping 15 units from China. Waiting on Deriy quote for shipping 16 from Poland warehouse.
I paid $1,988 for 15 Eve 280LFK's in Aug 22. That included shipping.
Docan are quoting 15 Eve 280LFK's V3's twin pole with extra capacity over my old Sept 22 EVE V2 units and the price is $1704.
That's a 14.3% reduction in price and a 10% capacity gain over Sept 22 price. All certification & test sheets from Manufacturer included
We'll see what Deriy come up with from Poland warehouse. They say they are batched as 4's so i'd need to buy 16. I can go with that if the shipping price makes a difference to the end price.
Colin, this is what you are up against in prices.
Also with Currency fluctuation...
Sept 22 price @$1.15 = £1,728
Jan 23 price @$1.27 = £1,341
A 22.4% cash reduction.
Using 48V and amp hours given we can price per kWh
Sept 22= £1728/14= £123.40 per kWh added storage
Jan 23 = £1341/15= £89.40 per kWh added storage
P.S AL of the Barge. The batteries go on the land train not round the cape. Not saying all but certainly my last set did. Took a while!
I had read about the re lasered cells a while back, didn't realise Docan were doing it? Jings!
Nowty, Any chance of a link to your upgraded battery isolator switches? I can easily tap into the current busbars on the system which then go back through the fused Frankenstein switch to the Pylontechs. Although i'd like some way to isolate the new stack from the busbar Hence a pair of upgrade isolators at the new build.

Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery
Thanks Nowty, looking at 80 dollar per unit shipped from Deriy. £1,259 at todays rate. Waiting for confirmation that they are V3's. I must have missed the firesales on the V2's!nowty wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 9:59 amhttps://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005789736951.htmlJoeboy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 9:03 am Nowty, Any chance of a link to your upgraded battery isolator switches? Using 48V and amp hours given we can price per kWh.
Sept 22= £1728/14= £123.40 per kWh added storage.
Jan 24 Docan = £1341/15= £89.40 per kWh added storage.
Jan 24 Deriy = £1,259/15 with one spare battery = £83.93 per kWh added storage.
That's a 32% drop in per kWh price from Sept 22 to Jan 23. Yoicks!
