Everything Electric Show- Excel Arena 28 - 30th March

Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

Everything Electric Show- Excel Arena 28 - 30th March

Don't know if anyone else is planning to attend the above event but when first announced back in October I'd rather assumed that it was replacing Farnborough as a venue. As it's about half the distance away, albeit just North of the Thames in London, I wasn't too disappointed. Appreciating traffic might be an issue I thought I could always train in, only to discover there are engineering works scheduled for that W/E so buses filling the gaps. :head-bang:
Parking is available at the venue for £25 day, a bit steep maybe, but far cheaper than multiple train tickets. We could have a car full after all, so if anyone is planning to attend there were approx 1000 spaces remaining once I'd booked our two days worth. :xx:

Oh and Dave Borlace's Just have a Think channel is offering a 20% discount code for anyone not yet booked. That's for the event, not parking!

You can, apparently, get 50% off tickets here:

Not sure if I shall go. If I do, it would be Thursday.

By the time of the show, I hope my batteries would have been installed for a fortnight and Octopus have got me on the 15p export.

Don't hold your breath - unless you already have a G98 approval.
Despite me having had a smart meter and batteries for a month now they can't / won't even put me on economy 7. Hence my not filling the battery (or avoiding peak hours import) yet as I shall just lose money on the round-trip losses! I don't see why the DNO not having approved export should stop 8pus giving a TOU tariff to encourage me not to draw power in the peak.
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

My installation meets the fast track requirements, so only needs notification, as I understand it.

My application to Octopus for SEG export was made last year and is awaiting Octopus getting an export MPAN. It is on the basis of my solar PV. I am already on IOG. The battery decision arose from the Vat reduction.

I thought mine did too...

which is in the hands of an organisation which you can't influence and which doesn't really care!
