Have had a couple of weeks with the Gen 3 inverter and it is working pretty well and very flexible.
My installer has had a bit of a nightmare with GivEnergy and after wrong advice from GivEnergy, by phone unfortunately, has ended up with a redundant 13.5 kWh AIO battery which he can’t fit anywhere until GivEnergy give them training on that product, which isn’t before April.
I was looking to double my capacity, as 94JDH has, which GivEnergy are saying is possible but might not always work but they will help with it, or my installer is suggesting the latest sunsync 16 kw inverter ( if Dno approval) and 8 x 5.2 kWh batteries.
Cost is £15k sunsync or £7.5k GivEnergy upgrade, however I may get 3-4K for my existing GivEnergy inverter and batteries. I have no idea on the 2nd hand values of the existing kit I have and I am tempted to stay with GivEnergy, anyone any thoughts.
I’m on IOG and OO, so the export at 16 kW is highly tempting
I have Sunsynk kit, which I'm generally happy with - but I've seen quite a few good things written about Givenergy systems - they seem to have more of a whole system thing going on - with the all in one gateway (?) to control multiple parts of the system as it grows, and their own car charger which also integrates
Thanks Richbee, I am happy with Givenergy and their support has been pretty good.
The 16 kw inverter, if approved, does sound great for the current tariffs around

I think you have a decent pv array as well as your batteries, how much are you exporting daily at the moment.
On a decent sunny day my best is 35 kWh, but I only have 50% of your inverters and batteries.
I can’t see it’s that viable financially to swap kit after 16 months.

I have a good size array but not all ideal positions - last summer my max generation was around 48 kWh from 18 panels split East-West at 10 degrees on flat roof.
I'm hoping the increase might give me around 70-80 kWh per day.
Best day so far this year was around 34 kWh last Saturday but clouds in the afternoon stopped the possibility of breaking 40 kWh.
Peak generation so far was just under 10kW around 11.40am but again clouds.....
