dan_b wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2024 12:18 pm Bit of a thread swerve - I thought it interesting that this is the first deployment of v4 superchargers anywhere that aren’t Tesla branded. Does the operator run any other types of chargers anywhere else?

Wonder if they have to pay a commission to Tesla for each charging session? Or some other type of fee?

Does it appear in the Tesla App as a Supercharger or even as one of the suggested non-Tesla high power chargers?
Sorry Dan.

Moxi, those sorts of policy discussions can be rather interesting; if you want to move the discussion to another thread I have a few thoughts and questions?

What are the other costs? The cable, the links to the grid, the land it is sited on...anything else needed? Ignore insurance etc for a moment. I'm wondering what the pay back time is on that sort of investment because it seems long.

It feels like there wouldn’t be much change out of 100k fully fitted and ready to charge does it. Of course you then have to factor in economies of scale when installing multiple services.

In NW Wales 150kW charge is 79p per unit, some of the 50kW units are 55p per unit

Krill, I’m not savvy enough to move posts to other positions and generally surf the forum from my phone, happy to discuss further in another thread but I feel like it was getting to the end as we haven’t got an inkling of what the next government will do other than the fact they face a reducing revenue stream that’s got to be replaced. Maybe a discussion for when they reveal their hand, I don’t feel like giving them ideas lol ( just in case any MP read our musings )

Tesla Dundee peaked at 93kW charge rate before falling back and 44p per kWh. That is excellent!
