Absolutely, found a dc step up to 12V from 5V. Worth a crack at eight quid. Spent the afternoon after a breakfast boat trip running in an auto soaker in the gardens. Surprisingly good bit of kit for not much money. Rainbird if anyone knows the make?

Absolutely brilliant moment. Running in the other half of the soaker this morning. Heard a rustling noise from a Bush and out popped a tortoise. Made her way to a damp patch at a soakerhead and just chilled there. Id only had it switched on for testing for about five minutes. Also saw two baby tortoises too. :D

It was brilliant, picked up one of the babies and put it back in the brush so it didn't get squished. Only 1/2 the size of the palm of your hand. :D

Did our first no gas cook out too. Steak, chips onions and mushrooms. A strong solar day here so hopefully a greener grid?

Funny how the strangest things can cast an influence.Out with swmbo In Marmaris today. Saw this foot specialist place. Swmbo has cracked heels and has meant to get it addressed for yonks. Dragged her in, set up a pm appointment and off we went for lunch. Had ages to go before appointment so I said let's head down to chandlers Next thing she's chatting about panel size/output and how there's no way there can be any going into the back deck sunbathing area.

We then had a nice open discussion of how mental I am about solar and how its completely impractical to bring it to this home.

Went to the foot place, the guy started in on feet from hell swmbo is over the moon and halfway through, out of the blue says go on then fit the pv.

Not sure what the moral of this is but being honest and fair, maybe even kind seems to be a winner. :D

I can with a reasonable weather eye on the back deck no impact solution see three small form factor panels tagged back to an Enphase 250W micro inverter. All 3 in horizontal orientation.

Image

They pass through to interior around about the external light. Lexron seem to be the small form factor rigid panel of choice in this area. Renogy has no influence here although Victron is well represented.

Getting there.

I think I've just scuppered my own plans beyond 5V stage for PV out here. :(

Took a moment to actually log into HSBC and look at a years electric bills.

Image

On quite a busy year of occupancy the electricity bill is £106, yep that's for the year!

Heck, the unlimited Internet costs £63 pa and mains water is about £30. Even council tax is only £45 pa for the household.

That is a total of £245 pa for all utilities and entertainment pipe. I guess I'll be looking to use the two other Enphase micros at home in Scotland!

The standing charge here is twice that!
I guess Turkiye's regulators didn't let a load of chancers play at being utility providers then.

It is out there, that's for sure! Looking at about half a year occupied in 12 months. We also jettisoned a key holding service we had as that was going up to £400 pa which is frankly ridiculous 🙄

Big project on site is new steps into pool and handrail in stainless steel which is being fabricated offsite for installation next week. Odd to see the pool empty!

Image

That, along with the autosoaker system to water gardens should be helpful to elders and save a load of manhours in watering.

The Turks are grafters, no doubt about that. I might fit one panel just to have done it. A flag of solidarity to my PV love. :xl: Got all year to do it. Maybe out towards Autumn. I find it hard to let go of ideas....

At least this way I can admit I'm just doing it for the craick and satisfaction 😌.

Can move about apartment in the dark with no eyeball glare or need to find a light. Further proof against power outages, Well worth the outlay. Getting fully charged today and should be good for the season on that. 😀
