Avoid Scottish Power's SEG tarrif.

Have an existing FIT setup that's always been fine with them until being shunted onto their MINFO payment system. Registration takes months and support is non existent. Annoyingly I signed up another SEG setup to them as they'd always been fine (until recently) and been waiting since November for that one to even come through with the registration email. Customer service says there are delays but they're working through them. They owe me £1000s now.

Avoid at all costs.

I don't know what's going on, whether they're struggling financially and dragging their heels to help cashflow or whether their systems involve something incredibly laborious that they're understaffed to deal with. Whatever it is, the system isn't working.

Now considering jumping ship and hopefully chasing the debt.

Gareth
Go through the companies complaints proceedure then when no resposne go stright to the Ombudsman.

I had to do the same with OVO (twice) and have to say the Ombudsman were superb - if Michelle Rein gets your case to examine, she leaves no stone unturned.

There is a link/process in here to follow.

You can of course also move elsewhere, but its likely you would make the recovery of your situation worse, so if it were me, id complain. Register with Ombudsman, then once done that and they acting for you, then move for the future - but avoid OVO, they are just as bad.

Consider making a data subject access request. This should provide you with a record of every phone call, email etc. Also ask for everything to do with your property and MPAN and then they should be giving you a record of when they applied for export MPAN to the DNO and when they received it etc.

All this should be helpful if you need to go to the Ombudsman.
