Any news worthy story. Good things to watch at the Cinema, Theatre, on TV or have you read a good book lately?

50% renewables, 25% nuclear - seems 2024 is going in the right direction for electricity generation in Europe.

Yes, Dan, but we must remember that the increase in electric vehicles will crash the grid in next to no time. :D :D :D Well, according to the ICE lot!

With increasing numbers of EVs, it seems that electricity is diminishing? Can’t possibly be right - according to the fossil fuel burners. It must be fake news, or some other reason for such a report?

At least this is yet another report to throw back in the faces of those that insist ICE vehicles are the only option for future travel.🙂

It is indeed good news,

“Years of stagnation in electricity demand have now turned into a regular decline. Policymakers must urgently support the uptake of electricity to provide the necessary investment signals for clean generation,” added Ruby.

this is worrying though, it seems we can only save the Planet as long as private investment can make a profit, until GOVT get behind it in a big way we're fiddling at the edges.

The article says about the reducing electricity trend,

"This trend is mainly due to industry relocating abroad, warmer temperatures, energy savings and slow economic growth, said Eurelectric."
