We had a good 6 days over the last 3 years. Its turned parky though.


All kidding aside, it does make ye appreciate those solar gain days when the whole house hits 23 or so. Just not this month.

The WBS though? Total Swiss army knife. It did the tumble dryer thing too today. We shut two door to make a 3 room snug and drove the temperature skyward. Absolutely blissful after a less than outstanding day.

Our hot tub has been drained down and off for a couple of years. We ran up a big batch of bologna sauce today and also a big pot of lamb veg broth. Both on WBS. Running it low & slow, very dry logs, very little smoke. More splitting tomorrow in prep for... Well next week probably!

SWMBO has been out & about in the EV quite a bit last few days. So that, coupled with non excellent weather has curtailed the resistive heating in house. Even at this size of PV net I have to prioritise (damn). In saying that, we've had hail as well as mucho rain so I'm still very glad to be as deep into self sufficient as we are. Just got to juggle when it's deep grey skies but it's getting it done.

I hope you get use of the pool soon.

P.S, still Zero Gas.

Gas Boiler service tomorrow, so will take the opportunity while access is clear to pipework to make the temp monitoring that was thrown in last year a bit more presentable.

Boiler serviced by engineer 1.

Engineer 1 advised to call out Worcester Bosch due( they carry all spares on van) to number of parts it could be, availability of parts to him, getting parts, down time,number of visits
Boiler 6 months out of warranty.

Worcester Bosch arrive ( after online booking £390 which includes all parts now and within 6 months) diagnose issue replace part, still leaking change another part, check gas pressure.

Advise that pressure into house is too low and out safety notice on boiler.

SGN called by WB, they are looking at meter….

Smart meter being removed to a normal dumb meter to prove any restriction……. And same results so smart

Gas regulator up the swanny Agt, or undersized incoming gas?

He swapped regulator same result, swapped out smart meter same result, 3 years ago stee pipes removed in village and replaced with the standard yellow…. 300 new houses in the village too so looking like lack of gas supply to property.

SGN coming back tomorrow.

SGN dug up whole village 3 years ago and installed new mains, mine was a Monday morning or Friday afternoon, not installed correctly so currently hole in garden with pipe cut and both ends blanked off and new external meter and new 28mm copper supply to be run in….

At least the electric shower and range cooker with gas and induction proves it’s worth!
