Got a good strong meter signal Nowty?

By the end of the month I think Nowty Towers will have exported more in 2024 than imported. With the current rates I only need to export half of my import for all of my energy to be free.

And thats not counting FITs, Ripple projects, saving sessions or power hours. :D

Smart Meter has never lost any data yet. :xx:

Looking at the grid numbers today it wasn't that there was "too much wind" but actually potentially "too much solar", - warm bright sunny afternoon coupled with low demand - and it makes sense why Octopus was trying to turn up demand.

I note that in both Power hours last Thursday and today the agile import price was similar at just over 2p / kWh.

The wholesale price today was between 1.1p and 1.6p / kWh during the power hour.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated

I wish my smart meters would behave themselves, new meters fitted April 2023. Lost connection for a week in November, lost connection for two weeks in July, still not got export showing for that period. Gas updated with out issue, so it was the electric meter not communicating with the communication hub.

With solar and charging from the grid I was pushing 190 Amps into the batteries at times.

I think Octopus got a little overwhelmed with responses for the sign-ups to this programme.
