Agile import tomorrow is about 8p / kWh which is very high for a power hour, in the previous ones, the price had been about 1p to 2p / kWh.
18.7kW PV > 109MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 26MWh generated

It's a Saturday and they want the data. Every weekend they wait pv production produces.

Realistically this isn't going to cost them more than a couple of £100,000s I'm imagine? The data is probably worth that, and they get the rest of us to dump battery load the day before (the data about that is valuable as well)
Solar PV: 6.4kW solar PV (Eurener MEPV 400W*16)
PV Inverter: Solis 6kW inverter
Batteries: 14.4kWh LiFePO4 batteries (Pylontech US5000*3)
Battery Inverter: LuxPowertek 3600 ACS*2 battery inverter
WBS: 8kW Hunter Avalon 6 Multifuel burner (wood only)

except that if I had known about it before the email at 17.21 - which I didn't read then anyway - I could have dumped more at peak rate this evening!
It hadn't occurred to me that Octopus themselves are looking for data on the way we respond to inducements, I was imagining it was some Grid-funded research!...
I shall do what I can (if I'm at home, that is.)

Yeah, there's so much data. The difference in responses depnding on how much lead time they give us is more data, and it's all belongs to Octopus, with no need to share it with other providers. Or maybe they will for those using Kraken...

How's that for a competitive advantage, and potential return on investment?

And here's the kicker: unless you are set up to really take advantge of it, all you will get is a couple of quid. This is the sort of data that one builds empire on IMO.

So my tracker tariff today is 19.46p/kWh - normally indicates a high gas/low wind mix on the grid so I’m doubly surprised there’s a power hour today!

I'm still awaiting the credit for the last one, they decided I'd used only 2p extra. Email to chase that and copied to Greg, I'll wait and see before I use any extra this time.

I only made 5p on the last one as I was not home and the incoming solar was too strong.

But today I'm home and its rather cloudy. :xx:

One needs a friend next door who is on Octopus export. I import, they export -nice money go around. I expect some could do this within their own property, say a granny annex with seperate meter. 50kwh/hr = £7.5/hr export. And then there will be Agile negative days ! Average of 1hr per day = £2737/yr tax free. I would be paid to do a balancing service for the grid
