I ignored the last session as well.
I've had a response from Octopus and they 'thought' I was complaining about my meter. I've asked them to read the email trail that was attached. I've also said that I shall treat all offers of 'free electricity' as a scam until this is sorted.

I've just received two credits on my bill for the 2nd and 3rd Power Hour sessions - 12p each. I'll take it.

I just had an email with the summary:
Here’s a breakdown of how you did:

On Sunday 18th August, you used 5.39kWh extra electricity, worth £1.25. You used 5.39kWh during the session and based on your meter data from the previous few weeks, you'd normally have used 0kWh at this time.
On Wednesday 21st August, you used 4.67kWh extra electricity, worth £1.08. You used 4.67kWh during the session and based on your meter data from the previous few weeks, you'd normally have used 0kWh at this time.
On Saturday 31st August, you used 1.34kWh extra electricity, worth £0.31. You used 1.34kWh during the session and based on your meter data from the previous few weeks, you'd normally have used 0kWh at this time.
I'm still not sure what this achieved!
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

You've used £21.77 of Free Electricity so far ⚡️

Here’s a breakdown of how you did:
On Sunday 18th August, you used 20.29kWh extra electricity, worth £4.85. You used 20.39kWh during the session and based on your meter data from the previous few weeks, you'd normally have used 0.1kWh at this time.
On Wednesday 21st August, you used 20.74kWh extra electricity, worth £4.96. You used 20.89kWh during the session and based on your meter data from the previous few weeks, you'd normally have used 0.15kWh at this time.
On Saturday 31st August, you used 19.35kWh extra electricity, worth £4.62. You used 19.52kWh during the session and based on your meter data from the previous few weeks, you'd normally have used 0.17kWh at this time.

Ok, so second and third not as low as I thought. Although this has shifted usage at 7p to reported day-time rate of 23.9p - so actual savings are more like a third of this - £7 - (0.07/0.239) + 10% for round-trip battery losses.

Two separate folk on the facebook group have reported that they got an IOG cheapslot at the same time as the power hour and were charged the cheapslot price 7p / kWh but were refunded the peak rate price at circa 22p / kWh.

So thats one to try if we have another one. ;)

I did that and the app is showing I paid 7p/kWh and refunded the peak rate on all 3 slots.

thanks for the heads-up... should help those of us who get late notifications and would otherwise have "wasted" power today!
