Gents
Long story so wont bore you guys to death with it, but im thinking of moving my Sunsynks CU connection point to a different CU. Just double checking an issue with RCD's i've discovered to ensure i do this correctly.
I'd like to move the connection to the position indicated on the photo attached, but i read there are some rules around inverter connections sharing an RCd with other circuits, in the event of any tripping and disconnection times?
Where im proposing its to go there are no additional circuits (and i will ensure none are added) on that part of the split load CU, so am working on the premise thats its ok to leave the existing RCD in place, and effectively reinstall into the new indicated place. Obviously will change the MCB to be the correct rating. Simple swop out of MCB and move the cable over in essence. Job done.
The only other circuits on that CU have their own RCD to trip on the other portion of the CU and shall remain as they are.
Reason for doing this is that in order to capture my FIT generated power and send it to my batteries, due to the inherited perculialities of my many consumer units, eco7 meter and a mishmash of henley blocks and timers in my meter cupboard, i have to set my Sunsynk inverter up to see my FIT system as a "micro inverter" via its settings.
No big issue in doing so and it works well, but i have discovered that the micro inverter setting has a 4kw maximum limit, which my FIT takes up entirely - and im looking to squeeze a couple of panels 'joeboy style' onto a log store roof, and so need to free up that "micro inverter" capacity to do so.
Also need to tidy the labelling up somewhat

Re: Change of Inverter connection to CU question
Yes, applies to battery inverters but not AFAIK to plain PV inverters.
Can't see the pic properly but it sounds OK. Is there alternatively a role for an RCBO with switched neutral to combine the two functions?
