Where am I ?

Charge No 21 at Ohrongen, almost deserted supercharger and getting a good charge rate. But it’s a 10 km detour each way which is a bit of a pain. I could have made Stuttgart without it but I am now quite tired so glad of the rest.

Agreed, this sounds like a marathon, definitely not a stroll in the park! Surely you have earned a day off somewhere?
(And do I remember that Koelsch beer is unique in Germany in being top-fermented like proper British Beers?) Enjoy!

There are more days off than driving days but some of the driving days have been long. Could not have done it without the Tesla autopilot.

Chillin in a sunny Stuttgart square today. Just over 25 years since my last visit here. The last time was 10th Aug 1999, one day before my first solar eclipse. It was at a time of solar maximum and is still the best one I’ve see out of 3 so far due to the large amount of coronal mass ejections.

Have you seen the new feature in the Tesla navigation- not only does it tell you how many stalls are free at the Supercharger but also shows you how many Teslas it knows of that are routing to that particular location as well - rather clever!

Then just before the other Tesla turned into the car park, another Tesla coming from the other direction beat both of us to it. But there was enough stalls for all of us. The heat blowing out of the Tesla transformers is crazy.

Charge No 22 at Sulz-Vohringen, deserted supercharger and I’m only doing a splash and dash.

Off to Lucern but stopping first in Zug as SIL was offered an energy trading job there and it’s a very low tax place. But they had no real trading model so it would have been a gamble for him.

Charge No 23 at Kriens near Lucerne. In a multi storey car park which is really hard to find the chargers. First charger only gave me 34kW but the next one is giving 135kW. :xl:

Approaching 1MWh charging on this Euro trip. :?
I’m missing my 7p / kWh IOG tariff.

I hope it's OK to add here? On the ferry hull to Rotterdam. Filled up the Bongo at scoth corner £80!! Let's see how far that gets us. Heading to Cologne for a couple of days then following the Rhine South before heading to Strasbourg & Luxembourg. A good 4 days of rain to begin. No worries, tge cathedrals & pubs will be dry! :D

Set the export at 40% before leaving home. Let's see how it goes.

Charge No 24 at Grandate, Italy. Purposely overshot daughters in Lugano as we need to buy a present for grandson 1 and we are buying food which is like half the price of Switzerland. Nice big shopping centre here and more solar over most of the car park.

EDIT - Back in Lugano with daughter and family now, will be here for a few days.

Domestic duties today, SWMBO is dealing with the baby twin grandson’s and I’m making a decent breakfast at daughter’s. I generally don’t like induction cooking but this one is the best I have used so far.
