Where am I ?
Re: Where am I ?
Tasting no 3, we ignored the Moet as it’s over rated but went a bit mad and tried a standard 2015 Dom Pérignon which was very very good.
But complimented with P2 2006 Dom Pérignon which is insane, we could sit here and drink this forever.

Re: Where am I ?
Ignored the rest of the champagne houses for now and at our fave Paul Etienne Saint Germain at the far east end of the Avenue de Champagne.
Tasting no 4 and 10 years ago here but feels like yesterday in a sunny garden, everyone telling us to come in as the champers is great.
First glass of their Blanc de Blanc stuff similar to the 2015 Dom Pérignon at a fraction of the price. We are not sharing this time, it’s one each.
Not sure of the price yet but it’s circa 14€ for 2 glasses of grand cruz. I think we will be here for a while.
Second one is the standard blend, in hindsight probably more like the 2015 Dom Pérignon. We have not yet even touched their 3 superior ones yet.
Unfortunately only the 2 we have tasted are available for tasting today but that’s 4 glasses for 28€.

Re: Where am I ?
Tasting no 5 at Michel Gonet, we are too late for the 6+1 blind tasting game but having 3 glasses each of a choice. Obviously we are going for the grand crux’s.
First one was a very nice champagne but the second is up there with the 2015 Dom Pérignon.
These are large glasses !
My third one of Blanc de Noir is excellent too but SHMBO rose is a little weak.
52€ with 10% tip

Re: Where am I ?
Tasting no 6 is Boizel, the minimun age of maturity of champagne is 3 years, this place my champagne is 8 years, SWMBO Rose is 13 years and exceeds mine with quality.
Both are beautiful, 41€ for both glasses of good size.
SWMBO is buying a bottle of Rose takeaway for 170€

Re: Where am I ?
Tasting no 7, we are within minutes of closing, now at L’ecruie. SWMBO is having a Rose and I’m having a standard one.
The server has apologised for pouring too much in my glass. I won’t be making a complaint.

Re: Where am I ?
Surprisingly not hungover, a curry in Reims helped soak up the excess champagne.
Charge No 34 at Calais Euro Tunnel and will be the final one on this month long Euro EV saga.
EDIT- we had to abandon the charge before having enough to get home so there will be one more short supercharger session.

Re: Where am I ?
Charge No 35 and definitely the last supercharger session at Maidstone, a rare drive in forward one, busy and slow charge rate.
