It doesn't look very plumb.
I think it's the photographer: he is drunk with exhilaration!
Tomorrow he will edit the image to correct for parellax. I guess he hasn't got a rising-front camera...

Great pics Joeboy, where did you get them from as they are not appearing on the Ripple webpage when I log in!
You have to press the + button and scroll down, they have added the pictures in reverse order for some reason.
They need it done by darkness tomorrow or else probably not going to finish till next week, the weather over the weekend looks horrid. Blowing a gale and freezing cold. Even here on the south coast its forecast to gust 50+ mph at close to zero degrees.

Its likely the camera is using a wide angle view cos the tower and crane are so damm big, so it distorts.

I just worked out the lost power could power my house for about 150 years.

Hopefully that date has been.presented as a worst case scenario and it will come forward. Quite a bit.
This happened already with the delivery delay potential which I'm glad to say didn't.

Ripple confirmed that Octopus is confirming it is well hedged for its gas and power, so is less exposed to the very high gas and electricity prices driving other suppliers under, and it is well-funded. In addition, Ripple is in advanced discussions with other suppliers that are also in strong positions. If Octopus were to go bust then another supplier could probably be brought on board quite quickly. The value of the turbine’s generated power could in worst case be traded via a short term PPA with the revenue retained by the coop and then passed to members as savings when a supply partner is in place. This has been added to the risk register.
in the Graig Fatha Directors' Meeting Minutes 21-09-2021.
Which is reassuring - not that I am pessimistic about Octopus' future. As I see it, if they are supplying 100% renewable electricity, they should be well protected against fossil fuel price rises - for that side of the business anyway. I suppose it's possible that the price difference between the cost of gas and their sale contract prices could sink any company supplyiing both fuels.
