Yes, my "invitation" is in now too...
I can think of several things to do with the power besides a full charge ready for 1600 export... Pity I only have a 3.6kW inverter! I think I shall have to programme an extra 1300 charge slot, set the battery to zero output at 1300 too and use all my water-heating gadgets.
Thanks for the early heads-up, it gave me a few extra hours to think about how to use it.

Just asking for the MiL, she hasn’t had a notification for the free power hour so I’ve checked a few things on the app and opted her in to octopoints and notifications- does that mean she will miss todays free hour tho ? Or can she switch on her heater at whatever the time is for the free hour and it will be ok ?

Did she have an email invitation to join the 'free power' game a month or so ago? If you can find that and reply it may help.

I'm not sure how Octopus are notifying and selecting customers for the free hour as we were notified yesterday but our two daughters who've previously taken part and live but two miles away have not! Both have opted in for Free leccy and utilised it on recent previous occasions!

That's probably the reason, they have not joined the dots yet to see they can now get 30 minute readings. Worth having a push on her behalf now though to save her money and the grid paying for more stationary turbines.
