Jag is about to end serial production of every vehicle it makes whilst it goes in to a sort of semi-enforced Hiatus before it launches its new range of full BEVs. I had thought they'd already stopped making the iPace

Those discounts sorta make the vehicle viable/competitive now, don't they?
What's the charging rate, is it still low, given the huge battery and poor efficiency, so potentially longer waits if travelling long distance, and expensive rapid charger bills. But for those that don't need that role, pretty good VFM?

I think the iPace has a peak charge rate of 100kW. 90kWh battery with about 82kWh useable.

Whish is plenty for anyone! I've been saying for a long time, to anyone who'll listen, that the ideal EV needs the following:
- 50kWh of usable capacity.
- 4mi/kWh on the motorway in winter.
- 100kW rapid charging.
I can be convinced that there are rare cases, eg service engineers who drive 300miles a day 5-days a week, who need the above but with 75kWh of usible battery. However, for the most part, talk of super-fast charging or massive batteries is a distraction.

Unfortunately the iPace is nowhere near that level of efficiency and as a result spends a lot longer recharging than its rivals in the quite competitive executive luxobarge company car EV market.

Wow, 100kW. That would be fine for most BEV's, but for the IPace, with huge batt, and low efficiency, that could mean an hour of charging for every 200 miles of driving in the winter.
Fine for Tesla drivers with relatively cheap rapid charging, but at what ..... ~£80 for 200 miles, that's gonna hurt.
But still, if long trips are rare, still a lot of car for your money if you can charge on cheap rate.

I-PACE will pull more than 100kW in the right conditions. I've seen 118kW; not a lot more, but a useful 20% extra.
