Won’t be putting the washing on today then…
Highest I’ve seen the price on this tariff. Looking at the Grid it’s pretty clear why!

Re: Price signal
that is the same as my day rate - which luckily I don't have to take anyway - and the standing charge is about 30% less than mine!

We're still exporting to a whole load of countries though (and importing from France).
I saw that Agile was over 50p yesterday. The wind forecast is pretty low for the foreseeable. Maybe time to change tariff? Go is only 26p in the daytime...

Re: Price signal
Thing is when the wind does blow, it changes quite a lot - was down to about 14p/kWh only a week or so ago. It's definitely been a good tariff for me to switch to overall as these pricey days aren't that common, and the standing charge is one of the lower ones.

I get that Tracker works well for some people. Particularly those who don't use much electricity and/or don't have batteries. And you need to look at id holistically, not make kneejerk decisions based on a few expensive days. However, last month I managed "1839.9kWh @ 6.96p/kWh" (+VAT) on IOG.dan_b wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 9:10 am Thing is when the wind does blow, it changes quite a lot - was down to about 14p/kWh only a week or so ago. Re: Price signal
It's the right tariff for me overall at the moment - I live on my own so my usage is low and variable, I don't have solar or an EV or batteries in my 1st floor flat, and I can easily timeshift/dayshift my consumption for when electricity is cheaper.

Re: Price signal
Thats the good thing about the octopus tariffs, generally theres something suitable for everyone to find a match to their personal needs.
I managed to mess my choreographed operation up yesterday by setting the car schedule charge switch off from AM to PM so this morning I awoke to an half empty house battery and a slightly fuller car battery than expected not to worry though as its a learning curve and just means we will try to be miserly with house power to see if we can skate through to the next charge window on vanilla.

26GW/65% gas at the moment... what's the "horror" emoji?
