Yes I personally would have bid low today because of the strong wind coming, these companies don't seem to use much intelligence. Yesterday was their opportunity as there was a capacity market notice out, although it was later cancelled. All bids were accepted yesterday.

Next window of opportunity looks to be in about a weeks time, wind will be howling out there until then.

Let's hope Octopus know what they're doing!

I personally would gleefully take 25p/kWh, sure the £2.50 we used to get was wonderful, but that sort of thing cannot last while there is a company with a diesel generator who'll do it for cheaper...

Looks like Octopus have thrown in the towel and are now on their way back in, I'm hoping for 1 or 2 sessions next week around the 11th Dec. :xx:

What do we think about a PowerHour in the meantime?

Also has anyone else received a message regards phishing when trying to upload a photo to post images today - just wondering if we've been hacked ?

There's now a Met Office Red alert out for Saturday, 90+ mph gusts forecast now. :?

Red alerts are really rare and this is the largest area of red I have ever seen.
