The agile import prices are now available for tomorrow (sunday), looks far too pricy for a power hour, ranges from 6p to 16p / kWh between 7am and 9am.

We’ve got 20GW of wind on the grid but the cost is still over £100/MWh - what’s going on?

Its peak period, its always expensive at this time, 6GW+ of gas generation currently so the gas price sets the price.

Agile import is around 30p / kWh now.

Windy now, but we are in for a leccy famine for a few days, thats one of the worst forecast's I've ever seen.
Working day demand, low wind, half our Nukes still out and a cold Europe.

Could be 3 daily sessions back to back from 11th to the 13th, just hope Octopus are fully onboard with the DFS by then.

Another 3 hour live event today but Octopus are still not on the list  , that suggests to me there will live sessions every working day this week.

I am wondering if the new government net zero targets is really putting pressure on NESO to reduce the gas generation.

EDIT - Octopus are now on the official list of providers, but are not included in todays notification spreadsheet.

EDIT EDIT - Octopus ARE in todays notification spreadsheet.

Sorry, Octopus ARE on todays spreadsheet, I just did not scroll far enough to the right.

Here's hoping and if they get their bid accepted, I'll have to do some intermediate charging mid afternoon.

The slot is scheduled for 4pm to 7pm tonight. :xx:

Keep eye's peeled on here for the update on the bidding.

Starting to get annoying now.

Stinsy you might not have noticed my edits, Octopus are in todays session, but subject to the bidding.

Everyone was rejected except one provider Hildebrand who only bid between 9p to 15p / kWh. Octopus bid one of the highest at 60p / kWh, I suspect they are still protesting or were simply not ready to run one today.

Octopus were pioneers of all this. It is a sad state of affairs that they're now unwilling to partake!
