1) Set your flow temp as low as you dare (eg 25℃)
2) Set your weather comp to increase flow temp as outdoor temp drops (maybe 40℃ flow temp at -5℃)
3) Let it run and see how it does. Maybe take notes morning midday and evening of outdoor temp and comfort levels. Adjust accordingly.
Was up at 3am. :D
Made some adjustments. Now forward (moments ago). Running it 24hrs, no setback. 20degs req'd with hwt being charged 00.00 to 01.30, 10 to 10.30 andx16.00 to.16.20.
We'll get the fabric of the building heatsoaked to 20degs then adjust. The loft hatch is still wide open with a hung bathtowel covering it, so we're not quite there yet.

Setback is my enemy at the moment until it's all bedded in, flushed and bled again. For a 1st pass that didn't start until.4pm yesterday, I am very happy. Will.flatten the stack again today for sure.

Woohoo!

I'm actually OK at current temp (16.8) but won't make that decision. We'll see what swmbo says through the day.

Brilliant Joeboy!

It is funny how low a temperature you will find yourself comfortable at with a different heatsource.
My other half is happy with 18C now wearing a teeshirt, and with a gas boiler, still complaining at 21C with a jumper on.

Heres to a nice easy dial in for you, and a more comfortable heat. :)

We were OK at 17.6 with 18 requested. Engineer is back doing a system powerflush and inhibitor add then system bleed. Before it was shutdown for all this we caught a glimpse of sub 500W demand.

Got swmbo set up on it now on her phone. Seemed to wipe the accrued data which I posted earlier. No matter. I'll get hooked into the open monitor chart later today.

That equal heating throughout of which we've only just experienced the edge of is magnificent 👌.

Gas flue to be removed at a later date as there's too much ice on the tiles to do that safely. That's pretty much it. It all came together in what seemed a rush yesterday but wasn't really. More a culmination of many, many meticulous hours work coming together.

We're back to the wbs as a heat source while the system is off. We already miss it! 8-)

Flushing rig for anyone interested. Magnetic filter pulled and yes to black on it. Not much but a coating.

SWMBO hightailed it out the door for a three quid used growatt temp gauge. :D Far better than the Amazon offerings and re use
Image

Particle filter at the HP itself. User accessible so I'll check again in a week. 20hrs running time.

Very nice touch that they come back and flush it after a run. Despite the unfortunate delays, i think its money well spent on a decent install Joe.
Try telling all of your non heatpump friends you are comfortable at 17.6 C. see their faces
My dad demanded the heating be turned up to 23C when he visited last winter. Then complained the entire time he was here about being too hot.
He wouldnt let me turn it down though. He was convinced he was coming down with a cold instead

That is a great story. Dad with onset imaginary ManFlu! 8-)

System is back online so that's about it. I've skewed the timings away completely from what I typed earlier! Going to maximise the overnight cheap rate and the bedroom stats will keep our bedrooms that bit lower while the home heatsoaks. Next up is some sort of loft reversal and cohesion.

Isnt all manflu imaginary ;)

Youve got a good week for testing the system and dialing it in, thats for sure.
Great that its been thrown straight into the deep end with a cold snap to show you exactly what its capable of.
Your beloved WBS may find itself redundant other than being lit for asthetics from now on.

Excuse me!! Not a chance, the wbs rocks! Best multi tool I've used. It's being a tumble dryer, hob and heat unit the noo. Big drop in volume of logs used though.

Tonight it will be a heater on the Octopus savings session whole the ashp is in the off position.
