Ughh, nightmare. I was checking the cells in another pack and using 4Nm another one broke. I'm waiting to hear back from Colin. This is the torque wrench I have been using.

Well, Colin, has got back to me already. His support is perfect.

Unfortunately the company he used who laser weld the posts on accidentally used the wrong power setting.

Unfortunately I am now down 16kWh when I really need it during the winter :<

I now have the remaining 15 cells at 100% charge and it takes nearly two months for a the new cell to arrive. I am going to have to work out how I am going to discharge this pack safely. I have ordered a 50 ohm resistor to discharge the pack a bit.

Can you power down and just connect the 15 cells to your inverter, drain them to 50% -30%, disconnect them, then reconnect the 16 cell packs. Alternately use a separate inverter on the 15 cells.

Hi Andy

Sorry for this happening
Yes, we will take care of that

Trying to talk to some contacts, see if they have UK stock for this Grade A 280K cells
If they have , we will arrange the reship directly from UK
We know the winter is coming , and energy needs

If not have UK stock
We can also arrange the EU stock shipment , but can only to the EU country
Still working on that , and i will have feedback before Friday

Thanks
Colin

Can you drill and tap the cells yourself?
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
5x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (12kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

What about running as 15s packs? I think you're using the new JK BMS, can they be set up as 15s?

You lose a cell of capacity and will have to change inverter settings perhaps, but the stack will be back in action at least.

NO, The EVE 280K V3 cells can not drill the cells
It will make the battery damage
Not suggest that

I'll be here all day working on the van. If not though I'll leave the cell in the front shed for collection.

Just ensure that the replacement cell is welded at the correct power settiing if you go this route and want the cell. :xl:

If not needed, let me know, cheers.
