Walking up the side of the house this morning for tools. HP was making small noises and just simply getting on with it.

Full cloud layer, it was raining and it was only 4 degs.

Gave me pause, standing under the HP at how similar to solar switch on and just getting it done this technology is, yet doesn't need or care for the sun. I'm sure I'll have other moments like this but thought I'd share this one, obvious though it may be.

Last paperwork & ID away to the ashp grant folk today so hopefully a New Year financial surprise in the offing.

Merry Christmas & s Happy New to you all. Those standing at the back, feel free to speak up next year. We're quite nice and easy enough to get on with. I wish you all health & happiness and to your families too, all the best for the coming Year.

And the very same wishes from the Resybaby household to all on here.

Christmas for us is on the 24th, and has been since we moved away from family and friends, still 200 miles to the north 14 years back, in search of the Cornish coastal dream. So today is our 'christmas eve', full blown Chrimbo dinner and pressies etc for us tomorrow and an early night.

Every christmas day has since birth been spent with the family, not missed a single one and never would, so on the 'real' day itself, we travel very early morning, and return home very late. A hard but immensly enjoyable 24hrs day. Pennance for moving i suppose.

So, mine and mrsResy's very best seasonal wishes to one and all on here, may your stockings be crammed with renewables and your day be as special as ours.

Merry Christmas to all, hope you all have a good one as well.

When asked what I wanted for Christmas, I said an E Niro 4+, doubt very much my stocking or the drive will contain one

Maybe, we've had some extended no HP runs due to wbs cooking. It's a knife edge balance!

A quick check on a local builder merchant and I can save £15 per 1.2mtr width by fitting 25mm pir board and then 9.5mm plasterboard over the top of it it.

I'd need to make a framing map of the existing wall and use 50mm screws but seems plausible. Also, I'd get an extra 7.5mm thickness of pir board over the manufactured 17.5/9.5 boards.

Thoughts? Am I missing something?
