We like a good SH in these parts!

I'm not sold on the district heating model though. The whole concept is to use a resistive element to heat the sand when prices are cheap then distribute the heat around the neighborhood via pipes. However why not just put a SH in each house and trigger the elements remotely. The same with the heating element in the DHW tanks in each house.
