Presumably that's per MWh, so 17.5p per kWh?

Octopus not bidding, I expect they are as disallusioned as us

I don;t understand why Octopus' 25p bids are consistently rejected when they pay FF companies over £1 to generate!
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

It does if you see it as designed to keep directing the money into the pockets of an inner circle and to make sure that the ordinary part of the population cannot benefit...
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh Givenergy batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,

I think what it means is that the System Operator/Balancing Mechanism gives greater value to having the headroom from guaranteed spare additional generation capacity, and thus more solid guarantee of stability, rather than headroom from demand reduction which may or may not be as much as forecast at any one point, and may or may not be in the right places as far as the grid is concerned? And is therefore prepared to pay more for it?

Just a thought exercise?

That is my thoughts as well, taking the safer option.

But they ran enough trial's last year to gauge the amount of reduction available, surely they have a good idea

Octopus didn’t bother again.

£150 was the highest accepted.
