Aye! Had that discussion with swmbo last night. Caught in an infinity loop with the trap units imploding somewhere North of Dundee each time they bring them. :fan:

Eventually they'll get here but nothing else is being removed at the home until the units are on site. We'll be watertight by Winter! :surrender:

The bugger of it is that three of the big lounge windows are inter connected through a one piece external cill. One piece to avoid an ugly, joined, external corner. We could have been further on but KSM themselves specified that welded cill for a better finish. They've not subsequently tried to go the two part cill route which to me shows their integrity. :xl:

I can see a path where it's third time lucky but that's just my dark side talking. Hopefully the glazing manufacturer has remembered and learned from their first mistake....

26th March to 23rd April is the length of time to remake and deliver these glazing units. I won't need that time reference again though, will I?

Clear communication is all. Just sent this. Zero ambiguity. Roll on 6th May. 13 days to go. 3g II.

"That'll do nicely! Happy Easter to you too. Can you let us know when.the glazing units are on site with you and post inspection? I'll be able to relax then!

We didn't discuss it before but Catherine & I were speaking the other night. If these glazing units are damaged in transit we can only do the patio doors. Until the trapezoidal glazing units are on site undamaged at our house and the trap frames checked for size we don't want anything broken out on the welded cill three window run.

Catherine is adamant that we won't be having boards over anything while we wait for further glazing to arrive. Best we mention this now.

The offer of storage on site at our house is still open if it helps your diary/process? No worries if not."

Broke out the blinds2go...blinds. They look good, wouldn't know they were electric. No bigger then standard. A nice long usb C cable. Twist2go function for a simple install. A bit of painting to do first before installing these test units.

Having a battery pack to charge the blind battery pack will make it simpler. Beautiful morning here in the Shire. Off for some 2x2 slabs.

Tuiss smartview is the manufacturer and app provider for the electric roller blinds we have. They are both installed and I've got to say that the twist and lock function for £12 a blind is the deal of the century! Even I managed!

The blinds themselves are both blackout. The material is heavy duty, wipeable and the bottom rail is white metal and heavy.

The motors are very quiet, at least as good as Scottish shutter company. App is easy to use as is remote too. All in all I am very happy with my first electric blinds. :xl:

Blinds2go are professional and are supplying a good product at a decent price. I'll be ordering the rest soon.

The timers are set for morning & evening. :D

Just realised, that's the first rooms complete. ASHP, triple glazing, electric blinds and upgraded in dormer cill insulation. That feels quite fancy to me. 8-)

Apparently it's around a 6 month window (had to) between charges and about 4 hrs to charge.
