I like it. If it is forecast to be windy one night and not the next, why not incentivise charging on one day rather than the other?

Most people can charge their EV once-or-twice a week.

I'm not sure if that is "clarity". However it is as good a guess as any one of us might come up with. I'm going to unplug the EV in a min and keep it unplugged until 11am tomorrow. I've disabled "forced charge" and "forced discharge" on my inverter and will run for 24hrs as if I don't have a ToU tariff.

I'm not claiming any superior insight. Just covering bases.

I wish Octopus wouldn't hire dim people who have no inquisitiveness to do their comms...

I've just emptied batteries.... And gonna charge to 100%.

"Gamed a slot"

See what happens. Gotta be in it to win it!

Hopefully this mythical 11:00 is just a guestimate by a random forum user with no inside knowledge :xx:

From email:

Plug your EV in this evening (Monday 28 April) AND
Don't plug in your EV tomorrow evening (Tuesday 29 April)

I'll take that as it's 3.5p until tonight, if you are lucky enough to get ("game") an extra slot either last night and/or today, outside of the normal 23:30-05:30 off peak window.

Mine too. 80kWh across the window plus slots last night. Will charge stack tonight in the 23.30 to 05.30 window but EV will be at a distance unplugged.

I can hear electric lawnmowers and power tools around me and just thought that we are quite likely powering some of them. I like that idea. I'll take the money too but today I simply like the idea in action via audio feedback. :D

I'm planning on using none in the 2330-0530 slot tonight.

Hopefully the results will be out before the next one…..
So we’ll have an idea as to what the parameters are….

More data about the last time octopus offered this….

I'm not sure I agree with that fella. *He* might feel that "tomorrow evening" means 1700-2400 but that is entirely in his own head. I'm very wary of people who confuse stuff they've imagined with reality...
