Well done George. It is a special day - we should make more of it without spoiling it - secular, apolitical, non commercialism, just celebrating, which is important for this forum, the sun starting to rise further above the horizon

Think our forebears got it right.

5.3 kWh today, about an average day in day in December.

And a memory of the 2017 Winter Solstice we attended at Stonehenge.

I have had to spend most of the last 30 Xmas stuck on ships in varied parts. The few I have had at home have been marred by a Boxing day 04.00 hr start to go somewhere really not very great. This year is the first year since about 91 when the job isn't looming large in reality or my mind. Please forgive me.... :D

Its not Xmas for me until I hear Noddy Holder shout "Its Christmas" and that's the first time this month I have heard that, even if I played it from your link. He did an interview a few years back and he said that song is his pension because it still gets played on the radio every year. And he said the fact that he ONLY shouts "Its Christmas" at the very end means no radio station fades the music out early.
