Octopus Tariff Change

#1

Post by AE-NMidlands »

...or not!
I have had an email saying
- Flexible Octopus prices are falling from July 1. Your smart tariff prices are coming down too.
- To help you make the most of the sunshine, your Octopus Flux Export unit rates are staying put.
except that the only change is a 1.7p drop in my standing charge. My smart (vanilla) Octopus Flux is going to be exactly the same import and export prices as now, according to the pdf they attached!
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh Givenergy batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Veg, fruit - and Bees!

So far, I’ve only had an email setting out the up-coming changes to the gas tariff.

I had exactly the same message from the.

I've emailed to ask why prices are only dropping 1% instead of the 7% the price cap is dropping - no response yet

We’ve had the gas one, haven’t used any gas intentionally this year and standing charge has dropped 10%.
Waiting for a no standing charge tariff, which OFGEM have told companies has to be released this year

11 x 460w Solar panels
Two 9.5kWh GivEnergy Batteries

+1 for a no standing charge gas tariff!

£9 for SC, £3 for gas, is my standard monthly bill!
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger
